"I cannot remember a time when I was not drawing or at least doodling. Art has been a gift to me.

Fortunately I am able to combine farm life with my art. I raise Pygora fiber goats and find their hair, combined with wool lends itself well to the art of needle felting.  Working in fiber sculpture lets me move from the 2 dimensional world of painting to the 3 dimensional world of creating animal figures from animal fibers.  

In my paintings, I strive to capture the grace of historic structures, the peace of a grazing cow, the farm cat or rural landscape.  In my needle felting. I work to make these things touchable. These are the things I know, the farm I grew up on, the smell of hay and rain and earth."
